I have the same problem you describe. At varying speeds I get an intermitent squeal at some steering wheel angles (usually just off center) and it goes away when I apply the brakes. Pulled off the calipers last night and I have plenty of pad left (1/4 outter and inner) and everything looks to be in great shape (especially for 52xxx miles).
I'm thinking wheel bearings now, but doesn't that usually show up as a rumble or metal-to-metal schreech? Anybody have any ideas?
