Heading up for dinner, and cresting a hill (I was going 50 in a 50), and this truck decides to pull out from a side street to make a left turn. He pulls out in front of me, no problem, plenty of time to make the corner. Then he stops, with the tail end of his truck taking my whole lane. No reason for him to.
I have a car right on my rear door panel, so I can't change lanes. So it's "hit brakes and hope for the best". I stop, just BARELY before I hit him. I truly think that if I had stock suspension and braking gear, I would have hit him. Fortunately I also didn't get hit by the Town Car behind me. He skidded sideways into and on top of the median. I don't know if he hit the truck or not, but a sign took out the TC's quarter panel pretty well.
I even kept my temper and didn't tell the truck's driver what I thought!
Now if we can just convince the public and the safety nazis that performace is a safety feature.
You can pillage an enemy once, but a customer is an endless resource.
