1998 - 5/1999 SVT: The early production SVT Contours are equipped with larger 280mm x 24mm front rotors and larger ATE calipers and pads. This brake arrangement is similar to what some of the European 4wd Mondeos and Cosworth-powered Ford use.
6/1999 - 2000 SVT: The later production SVT Contours retain the larger 280mm x 24mm front rotors but use the Cougar calipers and smaller non-SVT pads.
