He's trying to stay away from getting sued? The thing is, Lance can STILL get sued because he dosent have the "user agreement" easily accessable. laugh

How long has the user agreement been around?

Every time I come online I wonder if the forums will be up

It would actually be an okay idea. Put the link on the bottom of the site. There under the contact us/CEG Website links and above the copyright. This will make it easier to maintain code because it will be there on all the pages.

Try this for the link "Terms and Conditions" or "Terms and Conditions revisited"

The former serves to set standards for visitors and registered members alike. The latter is designed for those that are already members.

Always ready to help!
Love this site

I personally don't recall ever reading this. Which is not to say I didn't just skip over it....kind like installing new software I guess. Also I've been burned by the INB4 DA LOCK bit. This however was only cause I saw other people doing it and thought there was a reason for it. Honest I just wanted to be one of the cool kids. Needless to say that alot of things go on in this site that I miss happening till weeks afterwards. Like the street racing thing. Didn't know it had happened till well after it did. Point of the matter for me is that I agree that there should be a link to it. Or updates on the main page to make those of whom miss the post regarding these issue able to find out the pertanent info in a more timely fashion. Just my .02 cents wink

Um, that makes two of us! wink
I started doing it to fit in (CEG social status is harsh) but when I read about the punishment from Lance, I stopped.

My thing is that like many others, I often miss the "Don't do this particular thing" post. I'm all for having rules, and I think the rules that have been implemented are fair and definitely help to improve the atmosphere of the site as a whole. However, I see this scenareo happen rather often:

Person 1: "In Befo Da Lock! (finally, I fit in)"
person 2: "Uh oh, now you did it."
Moderator: "Do that again and you are banned!"
Person 1: "What did I do?"
Person 2: "Read the user agreement!"
Person 1: "Ok, where is it?"
Person 2: "I don't know, but I heard we have one."

That's actually a bad example because that particular rule isn't covered in the user agreement, but I think the point is pretty clear. Having rules is fine, but they should be available. I also highly doubt Lance will ever get sued. I think a link to the user agreement (or even a simple list of rules) should be added, not so much for legal purposes, rather for the betterment of the site in general(not that I don't think it's already a great site - I'm addicted to this thing like a junky to crack!).
