Shawn- read my post above. While some X-drilled rotors may work, I believe Powerstop rotors are an inferior product. They needed a light cut out of the box(no real suprise)-ALL rotors should be checked prior to installation. I have been selling parts for almost 30 years. I have seen ATE,Brembo,Balo,Zimmerman and third world rotors need a light cut when new. My Powerstops warped TWICE in 19k miles. I am not hard on rotors. My OE rotors had over 70k on them when I decided to upgrade to Powerstops. I have since gone back to Raybestos rotors with no problems. If you must go X-drilled, find another brand. BTW, this list has more than a few people with Powerstop problems.

I have powerstops with 10K + miles on them, they were fine out of the box and haven't given me any trouble and I am pretty damn hard on them so maybe it's Your Mileage May Vary with these. Of course, the EBC brakes that I choose are a bit less harsh on rotors than run of the mill Semi-Metallic perf. pads would be due to them being made from Kevlar.
I have NO FADE in wet or dry, and since I don't have ABS, I have to watch locking up the tires in either condition at speed.

Thanks again for all of your replys.
I will probably keep the stock rotor size on my car (I don't know yet if I will go to the SVT brakes, yet). I am still interested in some info about pad life if anybody knows yet.
Metal Master pads: I used these on my old VW GTI ('85) when the factory pads and rotors wore out at 16,000 miles. They were very hard on the rotors (stock factory replacements). Every 35,000-40,000 miles with the Metal Masters required a pad AND rotor change (the rotors were too thin and grooved to turn). I loved the brakes, but I didn't like having to replace the rotors with every pad change.
