I have powerstops with 10K + miles on them, they were fine out of the box and haven't given me any trouble and I am pretty damn hard on them so maybe it's Your Mileage May Vary with these. Of course, the EBC brakes that I choose are a bit less harsh on rotors than run of the mill Semi-Metallic perf. pads would be due to them being made from Kevlar.

I have NO FADE in wet or dry, and since I don't have ABS, I have to watch locking up the tires in either condition at speed.
