I just finished installing a set on my front and rear calipers. The stock front and rear bleeder valves are different lengths. The SB1010S is the same size as the rear valve and the SB1010 is the same size as the front valve. There is maybe an 1/8" of thread sticking out when they are tightened down. I'd say go with their recommended sizes.
