Originally posted by Ray: Called SVT team, they said they had a prototype of one, called the "Thunder", but was never sold (or made). I dont know which is funnier...the fact that he had an SVT badge on his explorer or the fact that you actually called SVT to find out if it was legit.

Is that a 68 or 69 SVT Fairlane Wagon? Talk about rare. The badging has certainly come up in quality over the past 30 years or so. BTW, love the plastic fish in the foreground

If there really is a Lightning powered expedition out there(aftermarket of course)...that would still be a nice ride.
Although it would be sacrificial, the SVT badges could be construed as a sign of mourning to the lost donor.

There's a "Lightning" Expedition that I've seen a few times around Long Beach. Each time it's been at a stop light. Both times I rolled down the window to ask him about it- the first time, he rolled his window UP, the 2nd time, he just ignored me! Go figure....

My friend raced a SVT Powerstroke. The guy had a crewcab 4x4 that was lifted. He said that it was completely stock. hahaha My friend had a similar crew cab and go the snot beat out of him with it. Gotta watch out for those SVT Powerstrokes. Oh yeah, some idiot has a SVT badge on a bone stock ranger. I hate stupid people. :p

Before I got rid of my previous car, a 1994 Tempo, I swapped radios. I liked the Tempo's radio better. That counts as a mod, doesn't it? I also kept one of my Tempo's wheels to use as a spare. I hate those stupid ?compact? spares that come with modern cars. Does this count as a mod? If so, I guess I have two mods. Replaced burned/melted blower switch and connector on 19 February 2002 with a 1P3T toggle switch from Marvac and a Molex connector from Rat Shack; I guess this now makes three mods.)

Anybody ever heard of an SVT Probe GT? Saw one on campus last week, with 24V High Output badges and all.

Its great! www.webcentrix.org/contour_se.html "The whole purpose of a car is not to go fast it's to get from point A to B, and if you can afford it, to get from point A to B with some sense of style."
