I did the same thing, I located the battery to the trunk, just to find out that there was no room for forced air induction. I ended up building my own cold air intake. I wouldn't recomend dryer hose just for the simple fact that the ribs in the hose creates turbulance in the air going into the intake, that dosent help when trying to force air into the intake. you need tubing that is completly smooth. Also be carefull because if the inlet is to close to the ground, you will suck up water in the intake and hydrolock your motor. It happened in a mustang I used to own.
