Okay.. I have seen SEVERAL people on here saying they used dryer hose, or industrial grade vacuum hose on thier cars, to create a forced air, setup (by running the hose to the front of the car..
Can SOMEONE please elaborate on that?

I got going yesterday, and removed my battery (including clamp, you know how that is..) the fus box, the wheelwell cover (PITA!!!!) and STILL don't know what to run the end of the hose TO (the end that receives the air...)

Anyway... any help is greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance..

Ray

I did the same thing, I located the battery to the trunk, just to find out that there was no room for forced air induction. I ended up building my own cold air intake. I wouldn't recomend dryer hose just for the simple fact that the ribs in the hose creates turbulance in the air going into the intake, that dosent help when trying to force air into the intake. you need tubing that is completly smooth. Also be carefull because if the inlet is to close to the ground, you will suck up water in the intake and hydrolock your motor. It happened in a mustang I used to own. Good luck, If you find a way how to do it without cutting steel, let me know.

I think someone remove their driver side fog light and ran the hose there with a screen in front...

You can use 2 1/2" shop vac hose. It will run up and over the fenderwell, underneath the liner, and come out the fenderwell opening once you remove the intake resonator. It's not exactly ram air, but it does deliver cool external air right where you need it. BAT sells a kit but you'll still need to be creative to get a good setup. Rain/water has not been an issue. (Poke several small holes in
the down side of the hose to help drainage)

Check out this page, use "air" as the search term. Lots of air inlet ducts and hose, any hose that's not ribbed on the inside should be fine. I was going to place a dual 3" inlet on the driver side of the lower grille, next to the radiator. One hose to the driver side brake and the other directly into the stock airbox. I was going to use a single inlet on the passenger side to run to the brake. Problem is there is a big metal bracket gusset thingy between the front piece of the unibody and the piece on each side of the car, it is above the black plastic air deflector piece which sits just behind the bumper on the underside of the car. If it is just a tow point and not structural, it's getting yanked, as it would be a useless tow point anyway. Otherwise ther is no room to run ducting. Anyone know why it's there?
