I believe Autospecialty has several levels of rotors. The best ones are 'Powerstop' and are cadmium plated so the last longer before they rust, probably from inside the 'vents'. Look in the archive for more info, also on 'Dacromet' (or Dacromat) which used to be a plating on '70's or so Fords. Unless the brakes are used hard,or have not been broken in, I believe rusting prevents the rotors from cooling properly, and then warping. I have a '90 Aerostar that has had 4 sets of rotors in 100km. I am very easy on brakes. I plan to use the Powerstop plated rotors on it, the next time. The truck rarely gets much driving (except when I put an ATV or Ski-doo in the back). They also have "911" pads which give less dust. The kvr pads I think are similar.
