Man, this turned into a hotter dialogue that I had anticipated. Likely as hot as my brakes when they start to fade. Let's not turn this into a runaway and crash and burn each other!!!
I put some Raybestos pads on my car and am still using them. They work fine once they're warm to a point, but when there cold, they are the pits. I drive aggressively, and want to have confidence that the brakes will be there when I need them. Unfortunately, this is a balancing act, between performance at both limits, cold or very hot. I don't want to be switching pads every time I use the car for a different purpose. I'm certain improvements can be made on my set-up, but I'd have to experiment, and that can be costly.
I ordered a set of Baers today, cost me $775 plus shipping for the Front Kit which includes 13" rotors, 2 piston calipers, and steel braided lines. Not bad when you consider the price people are paying for rotors alone.
As far as 4 or 6 piston calipers, kit prices with these calipers run $1500 to $9000. A little too rich for my blood, and most likely not good value for the money considering how I use the car.
Thanks for your original comments Adam, they were appreciated.

Don't get too HOT! Stay COOL! That goes for brakes too. Improves Performance
