Dude, get out of the bubble.

Some SVTC owners need to realize that their car is not the end all. As hard as it may be for you to swallow, the Contour is no longer produced, and a new wave has been ushered in with the Focus.

Sure the SVTC is a GREAT car, do not get me wrong. I loved mine, but......

For the money you spent for your car NEW, plus all the mods you have, you could buy a brand new ZX3, slap a Stage IV Aerocharger on it, and be in damn near the same ballpark as you currently are cost wise, not to mention the Focus will suck ever last drop of paint off your SVTC.

So you don't like the looks. Opinion. I happen to know of numerous Focii that look very, very, very nice! And aftermarket support? Where is yours? BAT and KKM? Now lets look at the aftermarket support for the Focus? Oh wait, I do not have all day to post all the links...

I am glad you are a true enthusiast of this car. But don't let you enthusiasm cloud reality.

Rachael: Get the Focus.

I sold that damn things, if your in love with the car yes go ahead and get it; but my point is and was that there are much better options than a focus for the same price with just as strong up and coming market.

Rachel don't let the 100,000 mile warranty fool you, it's powertrain not bumper to bumper, it's still good..destroys Fords warranty. Celica's have nice aftermarket bodykits, a very strong market and I know celica GTS's that pull consistently in the 14's with simple bolt-ons like intakes and cat-backs while SVT's struggle to hit 14's. Anyways if you do indeed love the focus go ahead, it's only my opinion how I feel about them although I have sold them extensively. Have you considered the new corolla's and mazda's?

I'm considering a new car myself, I've narrowed it down to three. A 2003 Lightning, 2003 Cobra or a used S4 maybe 2001. I can get both the lightning and cobra on the A-plan for considerably under invoice. I'm still debating though, and I am not going to sell the SVTC.

Not it isn't.

If you go back and read the post I quoted, you were straight bashing the Focus and trying to convince her to buy a SVT.

Rachel I think someone needs to break the bad news to you, focus looks and performance um they kinda just don't go together. The svt destroys the focus (even svt) in looks and even moreso in performance (not as much fociSVT). Have you ever driven an SVT?
You were glorifying the SVTC....

and I still am, csvt or foci hmmm which one oh which one. Rach, if you are into the focus and performance, let me tell you this. I know of some reputable shops in both Miami and California with turbos running 6-8psi on their focuses that can't even break into the 14's. Ultimately Rachael make sure your happy with what you end up with.

Then maybe they are not a reputable as they think they are. Better yet, what shops are these? They got websites?

Try looking at some of the numbers 1turbofocus has posted, both dyno and drag. Then ask him how much he has invested. Far cry from not being able to break into the 14's.

Rachel as for the weather its never been hotter, and keeps raining im just waiting for a nice weekend where it wont rain for 3 days so I can give my car a wash. Whats all this talk about svt's not to get me wrong I love my car but I will be the first to say it's not a race car as for me I am perfectly happy with my few bolt ons I may be in the 14's but if I wanted a race car I would buy a v-8 I may get spanked in a str8 line but how often in your life is it that you drive without taking a turn?
