Whenever someone is willing to share their home or organize something at a nearby park, place to eat, drag strip, etc. Big interest + no help = no meet. Work meet or fun meet, the time has come...

Do we want a work meet or fun meet? This will help us narrow down where it will occur (and who will host, since work meets are limited to people's houses or shops). So if you want to host a work meet, make sure you have the space, tools, etc (like neighbors' patience for putting up with air compressors coming on and off at 1:00 a.m. for example ). If we want a fun meet, lets hear suggestions on what you want to do! BBQ is always a reliable event when held at the right place with other fun things to do. Just trying to get the ball rolling... Going on 6 months since I can remember (though there was one in Miami a short while back). Lets step up to the plate with ideas, we're all anxious here...

Build it....and they will come!!!
Oh wait....I mean....set a date....and people will come!!
About a year ago I set up a large meet with the Florida Cougar club in Hollywood. We had 18 (I think) cars show up at Dave and Buster's. It was fun, but I was stressed out trying to organize everything. Especially arranging the pictures, and getting us a table for dinner.....etc, etc.
I would like to plan in the future a "Fall Zing" for all the South East to attend. I was thinking Orlando or Daytona.
It's still on the drawing board. I'd run it very much like WorldTour did for Spring Zing. If anyone has any connections with Orlando Speedworld or with Disney/Universal, I'd like to talk to you!

I think all these folks saying they want a meet basically just want to get up with other Contour/Mystique members and see what is going on. Me, Nick, Ryan and Roland are about the oldest standing members here, and have met just about everyone, but a lot of you guys have not met. I think a "fun" meet is prolly gonna be the next one.
Last meet I recall was the work weekend we had at my house.
All somebody has to do is say when and where, and the people just seem to show up. Melbourne has always been a central meeting point for the masses, but I am not gonna be able to give my place up for a meet again for a while. (Let's just say with the last meet, Sebring, and my new toy, my house has become a 24/7 drinking/work party.)
So who is it gonna be?
Now, to elaborate on Ryan's post. a "Fall Brawl" type event would be cool, but if planning for 18 people was a pain, how much crap is there gonna be for 50?
And BTW Ryan, OSW has been known to rent the track out for 3-4 hours at a time, and the fee is quite decent. Then again, Brian D. also posted about Gainesville Raceway as well......

I'm down for a fun meet. I have some room at my apartment if people need to stay over. As for a place to meet, there are a number of parks in our area for a BBQ.
