Well, the install took me (us) 6 hours. It was a bear, but at the same time, it was fun. I can't imagine paying for that install, though...$$$ up the wazoo. I can't say for sure how much hp I gained, as I haven't dynod, but I will say that it's worth quite a bit. Plus, it's got a bad-@ss grumble to it, too.
Looks like your buddies are trying to talk you out of it, though. The headers wont net you as much hp w/o the intake and cat back. So, those might be a better place to start. HTH. PM me if you have any other questions.
