"General Information
Where: Bradenton Motorsports Park Directions: 9 miles East of I-75 in SR 64 (exit 42 off I-75) When: Fri. April 12 Time: 8 pm to 2 am Price: $8 per person (race or spectator)
Rules
- All vehicles are welcome, including: passenger vehicles, bikes and trucks. Domestic or Import. No rail cars, pro-stocks or any other race only vehicles.
- Only properly muffled vehicles may run past 12 am (refers more to bikes and extremely loud cars). Not trying to single anyone out, we just need to be able to keep doing this.
- This is heads up racing, so the rules of each race depend upon the challenger and challenge.
- All drivers intending to race must walk up to the staging lanes, sign the waiver and get an armband. You must do this before you bring your vehicle to the staging lanes. - The water box water will not be on. - Normal track safety requirements must be observed for faster vehicles. - We desire to have as few rules as possible. - Each person decides if they want to run someone else. - If there is an issue, work it out. - Trash will have to be placed in the trash containers. - ABSOLUTLY NO DRINKING AND DRIVING.
Event Info: (UPDATED)
This event will be very informal. We will have minimal staff and parking will be more flexible and open. There will be times displayed on the scoreboard, unless you mark "N/T" on your window, then neither vehicles times will be displayed, only a win light. To help make this easy, we have designated lanes 1,2,3 and 4 if you DO want your times displyed, and lanes 5 and 6 if you DO NOT want your times displayed. (You will still need to mark "N/T" on your drivers side window with shoe polish) We will conitnue to not give time slips. A choice of Pro Tree or instant green will be used instead of a standard tree.
WE MUST TAKE IT EASY BETWEEN I-75 and THE TRACK."
Now the big question: WHO IS GOING? Or will I have to hunt you all down?

The reason I ask is because BMS is a very well known and decent track. Alot of the DSM guys over there have run very nice times there....

The normal crowd at Club 1320 is id say 75% imports (Integras, Civics, Eclipses/Talons (new & old), etc. and about 25% muscle cars and bikes. Its not like their normal Test & Tune events. As I posted in the general information, the runs are faster and more casual (the pace is quicker to allow more racing). Track conditions are a little worse than the T&T days, which is expected because they want to allow people more races.
Since it runs 6 hrs, you can get in a lot of runs if you use that whole time. If you DO want to run, get there early (like right at 8) because the crowds/lines are very small then. It gets very busy by 10:00, and then cools down again when it gets late (12:30-2). But in that first two hours, its probably feasible to get in 4-5 runs. Crowds: Im guessing maybe 100 cars there to watch, and anywhere from 25-50 running (depending on how busy it is).

Final details:
Since it starts at 8:00 and a couple of people mentioned that they want to run their cars, we could meet up a little early (say 7:30 to 7:45) to eat, talk a little, and whatever before we head out to the track. Theres a Hess gas station about 2 miles after exiting I75 (going the same direction toward BMP), located on the right-hand side of the road. So, who can make it at that time?
