I believe the only difference would be the change from vacuum to electric secondaries and slightly different (in appearance) fuel injectors....but that's about it.
cool

So.....tell me what is different about the V6 from '95 to '00 that makes the FAQ I posted unusable......
I don't know. I'm not a mechanic. If I knew the difference, I wouldn't be asking the question.

Thanks.

Only difference is what Ryan listed, so indeed the FAQ will work for any 2.5L V6 Duratec....

Cheers guys..maybe I'll get brave some day this summer and do it smile

Edit -- on a 1-10 scale, how hard ??

Did the w/p & rear sway bar links myself. PITA on the links but no problems.

There are a few tricky things and some things that take some work to get out of the way, but over all a 6 or 7.

Yo Ryan, I just got my car back from the auto collision center. They moved the A/C piping right when I was talking to them, they told me that the bent screw was OK; it wasn't hurting anything, and they told me that I would have to buy a new dipstick from Discount autoparts. Also, with that area that is empty (bottom left) they said that that area is used for something that I can't remember the name but he told me that I no longer needed it. They really brushed me off until I told them that a mechanic that specializes on my car looked at it and saw that the PCV pipe was loose and that was the reason of all that oil in my filter box. He was like, "Well, the car is working better now, right?" And to think that I trusted those idiots with my car. Well, once again, thanks for helping me out with the whole incident. I don't have the funds right now to buy those gaskets, so I will have to wait until either Bill can hook me up (Whenever he settles down) or I can afford those 40 bucks!

Hey Eric (Contour), I'm glad you took her to the collision place. Whenever you are ready to clean the IMs.....let me know. I will be up in Boynton this weekend, I've got relatives in town.

BTW, if you need the gaskets ASAP, Bill J suggests you look here for cheap ford parts while he is away....
