Yea, the kid in the M3 is a friend of mine. I saw this coming months ago that he was gonna have an accident but he decided to spend his money on mods instead of driving school...Thank god he is ok though. All my hard work of installing the exhaust and H&R's on that car wasted

A96bimmerM3: Jon i do agree.... but e36 subframe failure was bad.. anyway... we weren't doing 140 or close to that. Didn't almost hit a semi truck... thanks for the genius remarks. anyway hows the spring? my friend is fine, he wasn't pinned, just couldn't open the door. i was going 80 at the time, wasn't going fast. (slowed down beforehand) Needless to say it wasn't fun. Oh and you have it wrong. i swerved LEFT... hit hte median, THEN went into the bridge support. came to rest around 10 feet from the bridge support. Not much left of the car but PLEASE get your story right. If you'd like to clear things up with me or talk ask Vitolo or Sam. I'm alright.. those coilovers didn't hold up too well :-P
Thanks, Josh

To answer your questions....we all had a bad night. I have a 95 Mystique and I ran a best of 15.8 a year ago before all the mods(KKM and SVT exhaust only). I've now got clean intakes, Sho y-pipe, gutted cats and BAT intake and I ran a 16.3. The conditions at the track were not that good. There were oil spills all over and I believe it was a little slick right where I hit the 1-2 shift. I know I'll run a 15.5 near 90 mph the next chance I get and the SVTs should run a little better. Like I said...it was just a bad night and we only got in one run a piece.
95 Mystique LS Young America edition, V6, MTX, Yeah...it's stock. Now with new underhood wiring!!! My Profile Moderator of the Florida Contour Enthusiast Group

Man, I really feel bad for the guy, but denial is the first sign of a problem.
I was a lane to the side of him when he slid over to the right without noticing there was a semi in his blind spot... (don't know how blind you have to be to miss a ****in' semi). Watched him spend the rest of the night hot-dogging in between traffic at a good amount of speed, we all love drivers like that.
About the direction of the impact, I think I communicated wrong. I saw the direction he went, left first, then right. But it seemed like he LEFT the ground, that's what I meant, due to the way his lights were spinning. And I do think he was near 140 (though he obviously didn't hit at that speed) b/c I was doing at least 118 and could barely keep up with the IS, and he was already way ahead of that guy. I wonder how he managed to spin out at 80...
Anyways, no excuses about the times. I suck. Was dropping the clutch to hard at the line & bounced alot more than I wanted. I'll try it different next time.
