For what its worth, I do not condone high speed travel on public highways. [/b] But your tach reads a hair lower...
Just more proof that indicated is way off..
I've done 135 indicated by OBD-II (140 something on the speedo) Still climbing nicely...
Closed course, professional driver, contents may settle, pre-cooked weight disclaimer of course...[/b]Tach's are notoriously inaccurate also. Maybe his speedo is right on? warmonger

Certainly am glad I got so many to post here, although I must apologize to those offended by this.
Heres a little irony...coming home tonight I smashed my SVT into a Pontiac Grand Am. Stupid b*&^% ran a red I was only going 20 mph!!! Go figure that slow speed driving be more dangerous!??! Cracked my front bumper, no air bags deployed, but she got the citation AND a smashed-in door.
Only problem is I just can't seem to find my front plate and bracket...it's disappeared without a trace...even checked the intersection...who knows???

FWIW, I have pushed my SVT to 145 on the speedo, with some acceleration still pulling. About 2 years ago. My Friends (former) Dad runs a county airport in southern Arizona, close to the border. It has a 7000 foot runway and taxiway, so that made for some good speed testing. Smoothest pavement I've ever driven on.

(stupid) 161 or so on the lonnnnggg stretch on I-5 by Buttonwillow raceway... Needle was on the red-line and I didn't want it to bounce off of fuel cutoff so I backed off. Then as I slowed down, around 75 or so a stupid rabbit crosses the road... my condolenses to the rabbits family First and last time I've ever hit three digit speeds since the 3L (/stupid)

I did 168 MPH on my MOtorcycle!A KAwasaki ZX-6 with header, timing advance, jet kit...I was fun after the front wheel started getting loose!Oh and then I passed a cop going the other way.I quickly left the highway and went home to change my shorts!

Well I have no proof of my speed as it was done on the way to a buddies wedding with him in the passenger set and the other 2 groomsman in the back but I got my stock Duratec ATX up to 210 KPH (around 130MPH). All that weight made for a nice smooth and solid ride BTW: The trans had just shifted into O/D but I chickened out going any faster

How's the wind noise at these speeds???? Last year a guy stationed in Germany reported he's timed runs on the autoban. He was more disturbed by the uncomfortable wind noise. He likened it to being on a motorcycle. Course these cars were never designed for that?????? Paul
Any of you using the DMD harmonic balancer??? Wondering if any noticeable difference at speed?

Man, that's nothing! I pull 105 all the time in my fully stock Zetech! Oh well, maybe some day I'll override that limiter Oh yeah! I went 750+ mph in a passenger plane a few months ago. I wasn't flying it, I was on vacation but 750 nonetheless! :p
