Okay, the Contour is/was a great car. Fine looking automobile. I love my 95 GL. But look at the cars they make now. I mean, what is with the Focus? Their attempt at a Honda Civic is an underpowered ugly piece of crap. The newer looking Taurus is also no piece of eye candy. The Crown Victoria...well I guess that's okay if you're a pig. The Mustang...not too bad looking. I guess what I'm getting at, is I just think that they are trying to make their cars look a little too futuristic. Ford needs to do some serious redesigning.

i personally think the taurus is a very nice car..have you ever even driven one?very nice car for the money..and for the focus i think it is a nice little car too..i think it is great that ford is trying to tap into the import scene with a domestic entry...and don't go slamming ford,they are one of the few american car companies that still care about performance(svt for example)the new cobra is awesome,the lightning is the coolest truck on the market(besides fords own harley edition f150)and the focus svt handed the civic si,tiburon,sentra ser their a$$ in more than one magazine shootout in almost every catagory,for less money...have you seen how big the aftermarket is growing for the focus??it is becoming huge..looks to me like ford is doing ok...

I am not even going to start on how Ford got messed up and now they are trying to get back to what they did best and where "Quality IS number 1!"

I have to put in my 2 cents. I think Ford needs some help for example getting the t-series over in the U.S. They have good cars but not here. The focus aftermarket is growing a huge amount which is good. I used to own a taurus not good cars. That thing always needed fixing at least mine did, but it was very old. I still think Ford needs that one cars which everyone likes and the aftermarket is anything you can think of. Not against Ford just want more out of them. We all know they can handle it so why not?

Ford is playing the waiting game! Why? Because they are hesitating on bringing out vehicles before the time is right. I believe 2003 is the year they replace the bad face with the good new face.

They are telling everyone that the redesign of the F150 and the introduction of the Mondeo, is going to happen in 2004/2005. These are scheduled for that year, but my inside sources tell me the F150 and Mondeo are coming in early to mid 2003.

After Ford brings the new cars out, they are going to be put up on top again!

well lets just put it this way- the Focus is the most awarded "compact car" in the US- and its the best selling car worldwide- so somebody must like it- (I do too for that matter)

Ford Europe to the good ol' USA. Need I say more.

The Focus SVT kills the 2002 Civic Si 'grocery cart'. Most Civics sold are the librarian 4 door LX models in biege with the 105HP engine, so I hardly think the Focus is weak. :p

But, they got to get new mid size cars on the market sooner than 2006!

I believe those 'awards' are all sponsored, payed for, and just rigged by the magazines, car companies, and other associations that are involved. As for being the best sold car worldwide- well that's just all in the advertising. Only time will tell how reliable and truely loved these new cars are.
