2000V6SE Member 2 Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 1,493 Elmhurst, IL (Chicago)	The basic CDW27 platform was designed in Europe, yes, but not just Germany. The Duratech is more of a US design, I believe. I read somewhere that some of the 6 billion cost for the design was due to Ford USA employees flying over to Europe. Supposedly to "help or approve" parts of the program, along with long meetings. Maybe it was these "paid vacations" that drove the costs up? 2000 SE fleet, V6, ATX, ABS, no spoiler, T-Green/tan. Built 01/2000 in MO. Added 12 spoke factory SE rims, K&N. Biggest mod: ESP Plan!
