I love her to death, but listen to this one.

She's driving to Ohio State this morning. On 70 (speed limit 65) a guy driving a pick up with a ladder rack decides not to secure his ladders. A ladder falls off his truck onto the highway.

She has no way of avoiding it, so she is forced to run over it at about 50, this is understandable.

Now 99% of drivers out there I would think would say, "hey, my cars screwed up and it's that guys fault. I'm gonna get his license plate". She told me that she didn't think her car was hurt as the tire didn't pop. It goes to the shop tomorrow. In her words "the tire has a bump on it" (I have no idea what that means).

She told me the truck pulled over right away, probably to get the ladder she had just run over, and she just kept driving upon her merry way. The van is out of warranty...It's parked at her parents house and I'm going to look at it tonight.

She doesn't have blond hair for everyone assuming that.

She ran over a ladder at 50 mph and didn't stop cause she didn't think it would hurt her car (99 windstar)

mad mad mad mad mad

On a side note 70 must be cursed cause as I was driving to work about a month ago lo and behold I see a push lawnmower in the middle of the lane. I had room (no cars around me) and swerved to avoid it, can you imagine the damage from and svt hitting a lawnmower at 60!

I almost hit a matching loveseat/sofa combo going about 75. It was just laying in the middle of the road for no apparent reason.

I usually roll my eyes at my girlfriend on a daily basis. Her car needs a new tie rod and maybe a new control arm, and it won't pass inspection without it (Getting it pre inspected tomorrow). Conversation goes like this:

Me: "I think that control arm and tie rod are bad. We'll have to get it inspected to see exactly what's wrong, so my dad and I know what to fix."

Her: "Will it pass inspection, do you think?"

Me: (What the?) "No, no way will it pass"

Her: (Flipping out) "Well screw it then, why should I even get it inspected if it's not going to pass!!!??"

Me: "Well, mostly so we can find out what else is wrong too. When do you have to have it inspected by?"

Her: "Quit nagging me!"

Fun fun smile She calmed down though, and she's driving my car until we fix hers (I get to drive her car because we live 2 minutes from my work). And now that she's driven the 'Tour with a CTA intake, she wants a CAI for her

Reminds me of my wife a few days ago... She was driving on the highway going to work when the car in front of her swerved to miss a 4 x 4 piece of wood! Guess what, my wife did not have enough time to react so she ran over it. shocked She got to work and called me -
Her: "I ran over a board..." :p
Me: "Did you pull over to see if it damaged anything?"
Her: "No, I'll check it at lunch"

Some people... laugh

You can't win. I thought I had accomplished something by getting the fiancee to check the oil in her car, but every time she adds oil she leaves the cap halfway off.
