I had Crystal Ford Silver Spring, MD do the recall on my dash. The ordered a brand new dash for my SVT contour. It came in last friday and they installed it last monday. They did a great job, not one problem that I can see. I love my new dash. I was getting tired of the warpage and the vent cover that was always coming up.

I haven't had the problem yet but prolly will soon (now that i've said something about it). Question is though is it the same dash or is it the 98-99 dash with that "lip" thing.

The 99-00's are the one's that warp. The 98-98.5's have an additional piece, err lip, up near the windshield that's made of a different material, which seems to protect the underside from warping.

Jess, thought you had the lip and had a 99 my mistake. Thanks for clearing it up though. So the question remains does the "new dash" come with the lip thingy.

hey all, long time. I just got my dash done down here and it has some wierd white crap all over it. I asked them to get it off at the dealer, but I and they forgot before I left and I'm too lazy to take it back. I'll clean it up this weekend.
I can vouch for the fact that it is the same dash as they replaced. Here's to hoping it holds up this time.
I have finally gotten off my ass and made the front lower grille to match the upper and rears that everyone seemed to like so much. If I had a digital camera I's post pictures...
