All stick-vs-auto bs aside, I think the guy's looking for opinions on the cars themselves.
Having owned an SVT, a 2nd gen SHO, and driven a few 3rd gen SHOs, it basically comes down to what you're looking for. 3rd gens are quiet, luxurious, and relatively quick. But softer than the 2nd gen SHOs. I consider a 2nd gen SHO sort of a bigger SVT. With LOTS of torque

The SVT has a blander interior with none of the cool gizmos that the SHO has, but it's a blast to drive.
Ultimately, the decision comes down to what you want.
