Pulled up to a light today and a young guy drives up next to me in what looks to be a brand new red IS300. First light, he takes off...I didn't run him. Waited till the next light aways down, and decided I wasn't gonna sit this time. Light turned green, and I put the pedal to the floor. Had him by a car length when 2-3 shift came...ended up 1 1/2 to 2 lengths by the time the 3-4 shift came. Backed off it at 115, and showed him those oh so pretty taillights and dual tips. This was the first time I have run the car since I picked it up a couple of weeks ago...it was really entertaining. Plus, the fact that he probably paid 2 1/2 to 3 times what I did for less performance. Yeah, I know...it's a Lexus and I've got a Ford...but the SVT reigned supreme in the race... Not sure if it was the Tiptronic or manual trans...he looked to be shifting, but I'm not sure. Anyways...just thought I'd share the highlight of my day with you guys!
