I'm sorry that remembrance of those that lost their lives in such a horrible manner is less important than your precious tint job. No one asked you to put the newfound (read: trendy) symbol of patriotism on your car.

Even if this is not the case here; the statement was a very good one...

Hey, solefood, Dont be putting words into my mouth, if i would have said "my tint job is more important than the remembrance of those that lost their lives in such a horrible manner" then you can get on my case, otherwise, shut the F*ck up, prick. since we all like to jump to conclusions, i would like to add, that i was going to take the exterior sticker off and put a static sticker on the inside. however, what, how and why i do something to my car is strictly none of your business mister solefood. lastly, i gave blood, money and time in remembrance of the people who lost their lives and as a show of patriotism, but honestly, i shouldn't have to prove myself to some hot headed moron. oh yeah, one more thing, next time i want a response not related to my question, Ill ask you solefood.

I had a ford sticker on my moonroof and my wife put calvin flippin the bird on the back window the only difference is when its wet you can still see a little of where the sticker was but not a difference to the tint. I have a quality tint which holds up realy well, but my old car had a 3m job on it and if a bird **** on the window and you did not get it off that day you would see the spot where the sun faded the tint.

Well here I, "Mr. solefood", am to clear a few things. First of all, I see far too many people who try to capitalize on the events of 9-11. Example, when you walk into a gas station, it is almost inevitable that you will see an item of some sort at the register, of an American flag. Whether it bee bumper stickers, t-shirts, whatever. I know you all have seen this. What I am saying is there are crazy amounts of people who have turned this tragedy into a product in order to turn a profit. Second of all, I have also seen an abundance of cars, businesses, etc. that are now "proudly" wearing the flag of our great country, as if it seems that passerby will think less of you if they don't see a flag; or the countless followers of our society will take to buying from them over the next guy. Granted, there are many who display the flag in a sheer sense of patriotism, there doesn't seem to be a line as to how far people will go in order to be part of the accepted norm. Lastly, Mr hunymobile, if you are not one of the heartless, soulless followers who I have described above, you have my sincerest apologies. You are right that I "jumped to conclusions" about your post, but if you read the thread title, and then also read your question, one can easily be drawn to believe what I believed. Lastly, I am not a "hot headed moron," I have just seen this happen often since 9-11-01 and reading your thread was just the breaking point.

BTW, there should be no visible fading on tint given the amount of time the sticker has been on the car.

here's my 2 cents....yes the tint will probably be a little darker where the sticker was....no biggie as far as the merchandising of the flag goes i agree with the message to an extent if i dont agree with the harshness of the post... have 2 flags on my car....because i thank GOD that i am an american...i thank him that i was born in this country (and in soCal )...i have a static cling sticker inside my back window that i've had for a couple months or less....i put it on to replace the small flag velcro'd on my atenna...its old and worn now been on the car since sept but i love it too much to retire it...i am proud to wear them...also i wear them because my pops passed from illness the nite of sept 11...he was laid to rest with military honors...i have the flag from his service....i got them free....most of the places i go have free flags (stickers mostly) and lot of them have the flags for sale ...when i see bikinis made from the flag or hats or someones kids diaper then ya doin too much....my family is very against buying the flag made by the same guy who made the lakers flags the last couple yrs....costs him like 15 cents to make and sells for 15 bucks okay my almost dad in law is bbq'ing tonight so im out.... oh yeh....always remember, its GOD's job to forgive bin laden....its the us army's job to arrange a face to face meeting
95 contour se...dark blue...monsterflow air filter...remanuf atx...wiring harness recall or bust!!!96k miles...motorcraft awsf32pp plugs & red ford racing 9mm wires...kvr black plated cross-drilled rotors & carbon fiber pads...currently undergoing renovation...excuse our dust!!! are my dodgers for real????
