Well, I was VERY young then smile As my fuzzy memory recalls, they had an event called the NHRA Record Runs, big names were there, and Don Prudhomme set a 199 mph through the traps for a new record. But I have absolutely no documentation to back that up, so if any statisticians out there prove me totally wrong, I accept your verdict! I do remember it was very loud....
