I had a 00 Contour SVT that had the tranny overhaul done at 9,000 miles. I traded it in at 18,000, and that tranny was ready to go. Ford gave me a large Owners Appreciation Certificate to keep me in their family of poorly-constructed cars.
I am not surprised by what the OASIS said. On the subject of OASIS, I find that most reputable dealers
will be more than happy to run an OASIS if you are interested in a car they are selling. Then you
can get a good download to look at. My 00 SVT had a OASIS sheet 3 pages long.
