I had a 00 Contour SVT that had the tranny overhaul done at 9,000 miles. I traded it in at 18,000, and that tranny was ready to go. Ford gave me a large Owners Appreciation Certificate to keep me in their family of poorly-constructed cars.

I am not surprised by what the OASIS said. On the subject of OASIS, I find that most reputable dealers
will be more than happy to run an OASIS if you are interested in a car they are selling. Then you
can get a good download to look at. My 00 SVT had a OASIS sheet 3 pages long.

Well that sucks. The dealler said it was a trade in and it only had like 16000 miles on it, oh well.
Oh yeah there was one distinguishing characteristic about it. The previous owner painted the calipers yellow.

These two are classic Tour problems
