How is the GT in as compared to the 914, 2002, and say a 70's domestic (e.g. Chevelle - I know its apples and oranges of a car) in terms of:

1) being a solid car to work with
2) price and availability of parts
3) in the end running & riding well - not rattling, etc.

I am thinking of the GT with a light, powerful drivetrain vs. a 914 with a SBC conversion, or a mid 60's X-body e.g. Nova (lightweight)...or even a Miata 5.0 conversion for that matter?

Mind you this is bench racing at it's finest for me, and nothing more for the forseeable future laugh
