if anyone would like to pause for a moment and remember you are welcome to...

I was just informed someone I knew from school was killed around 2:30 this morning while most likely street racing against some girl. He hit a tree and was killed instantly. Not sure if there was any drinking involved but I hope there wasn't. I mean I wasn't really good friends with him but it is still to close to home for me

thanks for letting me share, otherwise it would eat me up some

Hmm... another death from street racing ... have we learned anything yet?

Actually I think that the CEG has ... it's all the other kids that need to ...

Sad to hear that that happened to somebody you knew. We always figure it happens to "somebody else," but that's never the case.

Moment of silence. frown

agreed.....unfortunately it takes instances like this for others to learn from it. or at least I hope others learn from this unfortunate situation. my condolences to his family - another tragic event due to street racing.

sorry to hear the bad news. frown

Where are you guys from???

Man, that really stinks.

My girlfriend's friend knew a girl that went out with that Jon that killed from that psycho serial killer. With all the degrees of removal it still moved me quite a bit.

sorry to hear it man,

thanks for the responces. It is not bothering to much because i didn't really know him, but still it was someone I knew....

I know I have breifly looked at how I drive and wonder if i should tone it back some, and that was part of my reason for sharing.

after talking to one of my friends some more he was a passenger in the car. the driver is in the hospital now frown

I've said it before and I'll say it again ... I love this forum. I swear I am a better driver (as good as an 18-year-old can get wink ) thanks to people sharing stories like these. I do the same thing oftentimes as well. Thanks for the reminder; sorry to get OT.
