Ok, I did the drive from Boston to Ft Lauderdale alone(again)and noted a few things.

1) Saw a silver SVT on RT 2 in CT, anyone here?

2) The SVT seats SUCK.

3) Stopped by Ground Zero for first time. Very spooky

4) Had crappy weather most of the way down.

5) My car was temporarily lowered with all my junk...kinda cool lol

6) Was passed by a semi in PA, 5 mins later it had jacknifed and took out the entire side of the highway. Truck was totalled, talk about having an angel watching me...

7) NJ is one of the worst states. I cant find anyone who can say something good about it

8) I tried everything I could to break 30mpg. Drove with no A/C, windows down, and cruise set at 70 for like 3 states. Got 27mpg. So then I did about 90 with the A/C on and got 26mpg. Go figure...stupid car

9) GOD BLESS THE VALENTINE 1. It saved me from Laser in Georgia and countless radar elsewhere.

10) Started hallucinating when I reached midway through FL. I saw the Devils face, lots of red flashing lights, cars melting and flying away, and arms inside each reflector pulling away as soon as I got to it. It was then I KNEW I needed to get home and go to bed. Had been in the car for 22 hrs straight at that point

11) All this bad weather and I can still say FL IS BETTER THAN MA!!! :p

As for casualties, the mouse didnt move quick enough but a rock moved too quick - it hit my winshield and cracked it down the middle grrr another $250 I need to spend

sounds like quite the journey! i'd have to disagree agout the SVT seats. i love mine. the back support is a little too high, but that can be remedied easily.

i agree that FL is better than MA.

and the insurance should cover the windshield. they replaced mine for free in 2001.

haha, New Jersey? Did you have to stop every five miles to pay a toll? (whatever highway that was, I took it on two group trips to VA Beach and D.C.)

opening the windows creates drag. Using the AC does not create drag, but it uses power from the engine, but the power it uses is less than the power needed to overcome the drag from having the windows open. If you drove at 70 with the AC on you may have gotten closer or gone over 30MPG.

No idea

I disagree, I have been on several long trips with my SVT and I love the seats, I used to ride 60 minutes to work a day one way and the Power Lumbar really helped.

3) Stopped by Ground Zero for first time. Very spooky

I defently Is, I was there not too long ago, a very empty feeling..

4) Had crappy weather most of the way down.

Yeah, weather here has been sucking ass lately too.

5) My car was temporarily lowered with all my junk...kinda cool lol

Nice.

6) Was passed by a semi in PA, 5 mins later it had jacknifed and took out the entire side of the highway. Truck was totalled, talk about having an angel watching me...

You are one lucky mofo.. Glad nothin happened.

7) NJ is one of the worst states. I cant find anyone who can say something good about it

I wouldnt know, I have never been there.

8) I tried everything I could to break 30mpg. Drove with no A/C, windows down, and cruise set at 70 for like 3 states. Got 27mpg. So then I did about 90 with the A/C on and got 26mpg. Go figure...stupid car

I wouldn't say stupid car, thats pretty damn good for a 98...I dont even think I get close to that.

9) GOD BLESS THE VALENTINE 1. It saved me from Laser in Georgia and countless radar elsewhere.

Yeah no kidding, If i had an extra $400. I would get one myself.. I hear nothing but good things about those radar detectors. Mine servers the purpose for now.

Thats crazy. I went 11 hours before but couldn't have taken much more. No wonder why you went nuts

11) All this bad weather and I can still say FL IS BETTER THAN MA!!! :p

Of course it is. I would go in a second if there were jobs there.

Ok, here's the first person to say something nice about NJ...

The I-95 corridor is miserable...but once you get inland from that, NJ is a pretty nice state. Very wooded...
