They stopped putting V6's in the J-bodies in 94. Maybe you meant 88. Since 90-94 it had the 3.1L V-6 & before that the 2.8L POS.

3rd gen Z's (96-02) are the fastest. 2.4L DOHC "Twin Cam" engine.
