Gee.......thanks Rara.....I actually thought you were the only one this board who knew a lot about turbo charging as well practical ideas. Although, I think it was kinda childish how you took my whole statement apart and broke it down...kinda funny actually. Seems like you have too much time on your hands and quite frankly i think it's pathetic.

However, by the cratsmanship part, i meant that these guys took the time and inititive to make this happen while someone such as yourself sits on his ass in this forum and dwells over stupid posts and dreams of speed. If you were bright, you would have never bought the contour in the first place, knowing that it's a great piece machinery and all. But don't worry, i was just stating simple ideas to make it better...although the general idea is great! Glad you guys in here are all engineers and mechanics with many years of experience who can make a turbo SVT. Seems you all have many ideas and go forth with them everyday!

I would also like to state that Rara seems to know more about the car than the people who made it. His assumptions are highly appreciated. Thank you again Rara. I'm sure your turbo SVT runs great with a wonderful power curve that produces nicely rounded HP and TQ all throughout the rev-ban. Quite possibly, you are even jealous of these guys for having an SVT that can smoke yours or even coming through with an idea that you could have never made happen yourself. Keep on Touring!

I would to add that air to air intercoolers are also super ineffiecient (but seem to be the most common choice for use) on 600+ HP Supras, Z's and other fast turbo cars.

This whole topic saddens my heart...why would you try and put a turbo on a car like this? This car was not designed to be turbo, PERIOD! You should all be happy with what you have, put your little pulleys on and your bottles of giggle juice in the trunk and be done with it. If you wanted to delve into the turbo market you shouldve bought a turbo car. I.E. an older eclipse, talon, 300zx or even supra, you get the idea...Youre trying to make up for your mistake of buying this "sports" car in the first place by rationalizing that this car will work as a turbo car so that it gives you all hope some day...Frankly i think you guys are all bitter people, prob cause a stock SVT contour gets beaten by a stock Civic Si, but like i said if you wanted to own a real ford sports car, you wouldnt have bought a contour you wouldve bought a ford ranger (yes this is meant sarcastically, i know the ranger isnt a sports car). So i hope you all have a wonderful time getting beat in the 1/4 mile by CR-Xs and Integras. A little tip...For the same price or even less than ya'll paid for a contour you prob couldve had a used 300zx Twin Turbo.....THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!! laugh


IF you wanted a real sports car, why did you buy a ford...and a contour nonetheless!

Well, seeing as he works with the people who made it, I'd hope he knows a little something more than most of us. I, for one appreciate the insight of someone who helped design the fekkin car in the first place.

It's called originality and challenge. Ever heard of that? I mean, yeah, I could go and get an ugly ass talon, drop some money in it and have a fast ride, but then it'll be like all the other DSM's out there. -OR- I could take my Contour (or SVT Contour if I had one) and make a truly unique show stopping ride.

I for one am NOT a big Ford fan. I bought the car based on the car's features and merits, such as nice powerful V6 with a 5-Spd, good handling, etc etc etc

Maybe some of us wanted a newer car or one with 4-Doors. Show us a 4-Door, 5-Spd, decently powerful, good handling vehicle for under $25k and I'm sure everyone here would've been all over it
