Also, any ideas on linking the dash dimmer switch to the gauge lights so that the gauge lights dim with the dash gauge lights? I thought about splicing into the dash lights but I'm worried that I'll suck to much power through the factory harness and melt something.
SVT, your first thoughts were correct. All you do is splice the gauge lights in with the wiring for the stock lights. All of the lights are very low wattage/ amperage so you don't have to worry about overheating.
