Let me tell you, this car is really nice! It's only 170hp but felt quicker than my SVT, I guess it was the turbo kicking in. At low speeds it did feel faster than the SVT but I wasn't able to push it at higher speeds, I got it to about 60. The built quality is great! No squeaks, cricks or any such noises, it was a delight to be seated in it. They offered me a 4 year lease for 3000 down and about 410 a month. I thought it was kind of steep but the car itself is great IMO! smile

Try the Jetta, it has the same motor (180hp I believe) and comes with leather as an option! Here in Canada, the A4 is cloth or vinyl only!
It also costs way less than the Audi.

The A4 is not a jetta with different body panels. My A4 friends use to go nuts when people said that. Now before you go nuts on me..the Jetta is a nice car. But it's a VW and an A4 is an Audi. You can tell the differnece when you ride in them. The build quality is better on the A4.

Lisa and I just picked up a 2002 1.8T Jetta a week ago - Galactic Blue with Black Leather.

That car is saaawweet! Ride quality is awesome. Personally, I thought the Audi ride quality was just a little better. Just my $.02. And for the $$$ extra, we decided on the Jetta.

180bhp (at the crank)in the 1.8T. Pretty quick. And put an EMC chip in it and you've got 177hp/247tq [b](don't quote me on those numbers....they are in my european car magazine where they did a dyno test but they are VERY close to those numbers)[b] at the wheels!!! laugh

BUT....since this is Lisa's primary car and I already have my toy (the SVT) she wanted an Automatic in the family! frown
The tiptronic isn't bad though! It can be a lot of fun!! laugh

I have been looking for the Audi to pick up some more performance. The 1.8T does an awsome job for only being 1.8 liters, but even with the chip the power delivery for a low $30K car was less than impressing. Ride and feel were both a bit disconnected from the road to be an impressive sport sedan. Give me the S4 or Euro RS4 any day for this body style... or perhaps the same 180 HP 1.8T in a much smaller car like the GTI Golf or Beetle. A4? No.
