So Mike and I were thinking of having some sort of New Year's thing to have at our place this year.
Mind you, this is our first New Year's in our new apartment, so we're not quite sure about how big we want this to be.
Our intentions are definitely not some sort of raging college party with the music blaring and half naked barfing people, but a pretty decent get together (is there such a thing as decent drunks? we shall see)
Even so, we thought we'd extend an invitation to you folks, anyone that's interested, to come on over and ring in the New Year with us.
We're pretty open. I mean, if most of the locals already have plans, but just want to pop in and say "happy new year" have a drink and go do your thing, that's cool.
We have a spare bedroom (twin size bed but also room on the floor for the camping type people), a couch, a love seat, sleeping bags, and even a full size air mattress for you long distance folks who may need to stay the night, but again, space is limited.
and hell if you want to get funky, our bed fits 4 quite comfortably. wink
(ok so maybe that's not an option cuz I don't know if I trust our resident slutty boy - who until recently has reached some sort of 3 week "itemhood" with a special lady)
Anywho. We'll have drinks and food, the amount will depend on interest of course (and you're welcome to bring your own or make suggestions on things you'd like to see)
I suppose I could be some sort of bartender for the night.

We've got PS2, NIN64, a vcr and decent surround setup, and I'm sure with the drinks, food, company, etc we'd end up with a pretty decent get together.

So what do you think?

Hey Kim,
Sound like a great idea! Karen and I don't have any definite plans yet, but there are some options on the table. Now if you were to have

then it would be a definite!!! laugh I think, no matter what, we'd like to at least stop by and share in the festivities. I know that one of our friends is having a get together, but Karen isn't very fond of some of their friends that will be there! I'll have to get diections from you at some point! It should be a fun time !!!! laugh

sounds like fun smile

I think I'm decent when I get drunk. I don't drink until I barf, and I don't usually take my clothes off.

But I don't think I'm gonna stop by though, its kinda a long drive but I'm sure a good time will be had by all.

Hey Kim/Mike - That is a very generous offer that you made! Unfortunately - Lisa and I already have plans for the New Years - so we won't be able to go... frown

sounds like it should be a lot of fun!

have a happy - and safe - new years anyway!

Thanks again for the offer! smile

Ya know Kimmy, Susan and I are still trying to figure out what we are doing on New Year's. Still a little early to commit, since we've got some other friends that are still undecided too. I will keep in touch on this. By the way, Susan and I are getting along pretty well. laugh I take offense at that slutty boy comment, regardless of whether I deserve it or not.
Sooo, the bed sleeps 4, huh? :p
