Crank whip...high RPM's the crank actually flexes, the bearings "wipe" the crank, plugging the oil holes...now you have metal on metal. You can't hear crank whip itself...you can hear the results...usually a knocking...and you can feel it too, in your wallet..

If it's a problem on earlier duratech v6's, why wouldn't ford issue a TSB?

ps where do I get one? - I didnt have one and I toasted my bearings- my next motor wil have one- if I can get one!
