I find these stories of horrible customer service and poor care in handling customer property atrotious.

I work in corperate aviation, where the customer is god. If anything gets dirty or dameged for any reason while in the care of the our maintainence facility, it is our responsibility to fix it immediately reguardless of cost. In fact I know of people who were fired for simply making foot prints on the airplane's carpet, or even scratching the paint.

If the automotive industry adopted these principals we all would be happier. Now, don't come in and say that if we expect impeciable service we will pay higher labor rates, where I work, we service $20 million airplanes and charge $78 per hour. Granted most airplanes average 1000 to 2000 labor hours for a service check, but that is besides the point.
