What?? No mention of rosary beads for your participants?? You're gonna need those because you'd better PRAY that it's not jammed up with folks trying to get into Six Flags the same time you are!!!!!!!! I grew up living across the river from what's now "Six Flags"(it used to be Riverside, back when ordinary people could AFFORD the admission), and watched it morph into this huge tourist trap in the last two years. The infrastructue in Agawam was never built to handle the traffic, so everyone gets stuck in these epic traffic jams on the weekends when the weather's nice. Just a friendly pointer-If you ARE going to go, screw the directions to go through Agawam, and get off at the Suffield CT exit on 91 and backtrack. That way, if there's traffic there, all the sidestreets in that end of town in Suffield run parellel to the street Six Flags is on, so you can just drive ahead of the traffic. And, no, not many people know that because those of us that live near that monstrosity stay away from that place in droves, so it won't be us clogging the sidestreets. So most of the folks who venture out are tourists, so they don't know their way around at all. Not trying to p*ss on your parade, just trying to help out

duh that's why you leave early in the morning... I'm going no matter what! I mean, even the roads near Canobie get packed up and look how old that dump is. Eventually you do get past the traffic and it IS FUN.

Goobah, looks like frenchblueC2 and I are going, but we're only gonna bring 1 car. It'll probably be the SVT. Are we all going to park together? I like to shelter my car from all the aholes out there that aren't careful when they whip thier doors open!! I don't want to with some stranger because they are careless!!

just keep checking focaljet for more details. if i dont here from you guys when it gets closer i will post you here. for the most part we are pre aranging a meeting place before the park so we can line up together. and i agree with your smileys!
brian, this would be a great opp. for you to learn to walk again. you figure the avarage patrion walks 6 miles during there trip to an amusement park (sorry, the "cliff clavin" came out in me).

Hey, Wontgrowup, I feel your pain... I used to live in Chicopee, which is about 20 minutes from Agawam. The road system in Agawam is not setup for something like 6 Flags. There is a 2 lane road leading you to the park, once you get off the highway. If you follow the directions on the website you'll end up sitting in traffic for a long time. Your best bet is to take back roads through Agawam and get there early.

Like I said in my post, I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but since they've added more attractions to the park, the traffic has been worse. My biggest complaint is that the admission price(and the price of food for that matter)have skyrocketed since six flags opened. Six Flags made amny promises to the people of Agawam that they've renegged on, so, as far as I'm concerned, the park could burn down and I wouldn't care. I just hate seeing a big corporation just come into a small town and just bulldoze through all the complaints residents had about the expansion without satisfying anyone but themselves in the end. OK.....I will climb down from my soapbox now If anyone gets to go on the Superman ride, let me know how it is....I watched them build the thing, and can see people on it when I go fishing down at the river, but I've never been on it(obviously).
