I've been thinking of an SVT replacement for the near future and have been looking at the Mazda RX-8 but it seems like its about a year away and also may be a little too extreme for my liking. I ran across the Mazda website and saw the '6', I really like the way it looks exterior/interior and also seems really powerful. Here are is the link, tell me what you guys think. It comes in 3 trims, 4door sedan, 5door hatchback and also a wagon. My personal favorite is the 5door hatchback. i must say as an owner of one of the newer mazdas, they are awesome... they are very comfortable and very fun to drive... I only wish I woulda waited for the mazda 6 (not that I could have afforded it or nething  ) but its still a beautiful car .. Id take one if ya gave it to me ... I say go for it man

I'd say go for it, but get the 3.0L V6. If the mazda mp3 would have been in that hp range I would have gotten it. So go for it dude!

i thought we were only getting the 4 door version for now with the rest to follow a year or 2 later if the desire is there

The 6 will share many parts with the next generation Mondeo. To me, the 6 is the logical successor to the 'Tours, Duratech and all!

the 6 sedan will be here in november, witht the hatch to follow 6-8 months later and the wagon after that. don't recall seeing anything about interest, but i'm sure there will be plenty

In the recent C&D they stated that the 3Oh would have a manual shifting auto. Not good enough for me. They don't shift fast enough. The 4 banger will come with an MTX though.
