A good route would be......
Main Street Concord to 393 (connector to 106)
106 North (Past NH International Speedway)
Route 11A + 11 Gilford toward Alton Bay
Route 28A to Wolfeboro
Route 109 to Moultonborough (Climb the Fire Tower) (Great views)
Route 25 to Center Harbor + Meredith
Route 3 to Weirs Beach Lakeport/Laconia/Tilton/Franklin
Then back to Concord.
Lunch can be in Alton, Wolfeboro or Center Harbor depending on timing.
Keep in mind that on 11/5 it is going to be dark by 5:00 or so.

Let's hope for good weather.

Hey all!! Haven't seen any snow here yet. I doubt there will be any by the 5th either. I usually don't see any until after X-mas anyhow. So we have someone coming from Canada and NJ?? Cool!! There are some coming from VT too right?? Lets take a poll. Where is everyone coming from?? I'm coming from Merrimack NH, about a 1/2 hour from the dealership.
Does anyone have two way radios?? I'm thinking of buying a pair but the good motorola ones are almost $100!!! Can anyone recommend some??

I'm going to post some info about the event in the other branches tomorrow, so we can try to get some more from around the country! I'm getting pretty excited. I got home from class tonight and when I got out of the car the moon was sooo bright. I just stood there staring at my car like in the Lexus commercial. Heh, I must have been there for 10 minutes, cause my Silver Frost SVT looked soooo cool in the moon light!!! heh, well, talk to you all tomorrow. Oh by the way, I finally got my new 733mHz computer, so I should be on a hell of a lot more now. Good night all!!!

I'm coming from southbridge ma.This is going to be awsome is right.Hope we can do this again in the spring.I was up on the mohawk
trail(route2)this pat weekend to check some things out.Greenfield has a lot of plces to stay that are reasonable, there are lots of plces to eat also. The roads are awsome.I went to a few of the small towns in shelburne
falls there are the glacier potholes formed
by glaciers, there is also a waterfall, you can park your car and walk out onto the rocks
it is cool. There is also the bridge of flowers. This is just some of the things out there, i picked up more brochures i think this is a good place for a future gettogether.Greenfield is right of I91.I'm
also going to run my first autocross with a club on capecod at otis airbase on oct.22nd
I'm told there are only a few fords and mine will be the only contour so far.I'll have to see how i do never run one before.chat with you guys later.

Here is what I'm posting in all the other CEG branches.

"Attention all CEG branches. There is a fall meet scheduled for November 5th that is being coordinated by the NE-CEG branch. We are meeting at 9:00am on Sunday at Grappone Ford in Bow NH just south of Concord. For directions to the dealership go to http://www.grappone.com/index.pl?page=autoj. We are planning on cruising the back roads of New Hampshire through the scenic White Mountains and the popular lakes region. There are accommodations right next to the dealership. For information call Day?s Inn at 603-224-2511. If you have a two way radio please bring it so we can communicate while on the road. I hope more fellow CEGers will be able to attend. Any and all are welcome. If you have any concerns please email me at mlafortu@lynx.neu.edu. Thank you."

Say Mike: Seeing that most people have Cell Phones, would'nt it make sense to use those instead of buying 2-ways?

Rick,
Yeah, but I think it would be more convenient to use radios, so that we don't have to keep dialing everyone and everyone can hear everything at the same time, instead of having to relay information. Not to mention if some people's phones won't work in certain areas, and the fact that it costs money every time a call is made. I just thought It'd be easier.

Well, I got no positive responses from the other branches, so it looks like no one else is coming. Oh well, we'll have to try again in the spring.

I went to my first autocross on sun oct.22
at otis air base.I had an awsome time.I had the only tour there. They said it was a small
group than usual.there where 25cars.6mustangs
1contour,1prepared escort,2hondas,1miata,1
prepared neon,the rest v.w.'s.
I did 4 runs at 2 laps per run.I bettered my
time from 116sec.1st run to 112sec.4th run.
All the guys there where pretty imprest with my run considering the car was stock
and plain in the field of these cars.
The fastest mustang 100.41sec.Fastest v.w.
97.25sec.heavy mods.I came close to the slowest mustang 110sec.stock cobra.I beat the
escort, and 4jettes and they where modified.
The contour is a very capable car this course was real tight and only fast on the back strech so it was more about handleing
and driver tecnique than speed.the only thing
that kept me from wipping more a** where the
tires and believe it guys i was on the o.e.m
firestone gta's.The nose plowed on me a few times. The cars stock suspension was more than
capable.I'll tell you more at the meet.see
you nov.5th.
