I like the WRX....when theyre hooked up. Ive driven a few and stock, they are quick but not breathtaking. LOTS of turbo lag and overall feel is well...japanese to say the least. Stock they look like A$$. My fav is blue, lowered on gold 18" wheels with the STi wing and factory aerokit and projector lights

I would drive one forsure. 227hp and AWD, 5spd. No questions asked. My friends is pumping 289hp with few mods. He spanked(me driving) his 86 stang GT 5.0 with it, then I spanked it while I drove(at a legal course).

Actually, i have never driven one, but i know two guys from work that each own a WRX, blue sedan and yellow sedan. Both claim there is not too much Turbo Lag (Motor Trend and Turbo magazines claim the same as well). I think they look kick a$$, and will look even better if one was in my drive way. AWD, 227 HP, 4 doors, with a big enough aftermarket selection of prformance parts... HELL YEAH!!!

An aftermarket boost controller would help with that boost lag as well as a new downpipe. Spend $2k on a WRX and then spend $2k on the SVT. You'll be watching WRX tailights all day long!

I own both and here is my take on the subject. Stock: the WRX is a lil quicker depending on the driver skills, but the SVT handles better. As Aussie said: when ya start modding.....the WRX will be a beast for lil cash outflow. I would take my WRX over the SVT anyday. If you know how to drive the car...the WRX will take an SVT even handlingwise...you juts have to get used to it (it is kinda sloppy)....but AWD is choice. Hang the rear end out in a corner and you can watch the SVT fade in my mirror....My rex vs my svt....me driving rex her driving svt...
The price is well worth it in my opinion. If I had to do it again I would buy my WRX all over.....I love it...
Just call me Judge. People suck. Life begins at 170mph...until that point it is just boring.....

Get the Hella dual projection kit on a black WRX or any color and it looks pretty good. Get some suspension bits and lose the slop. Problem solved. Also the d/p and boost controller as Staz. mentioned.
