I posted this to NE, but NJ is prob a better location for this thread..
I am trying to organize a Maxima, SHO and Contour SVT meet. Possibly the
Acura crowd too, BMW, etc..Don't really care. Right now I am posting to the
Max list, Max.org, CEG, shoforums, V8SHO list and shotimes. I am thinking
about an upcoming weekend.(end of October, early November) Location would be
Johnson Park in Piscataway right smack in the middle of the Rutgers New
Brunswick Campus. I can only hope for a warm weekend. Johnson Park is
located right along the Raritan River and makes an ideal meeting spot. I
already attended a Max meet there which was a lot of fun. Things to do
there; anything you can do in a park, I suppose. Cookouts, chasing geese,
etc. It seems that a permit is needed for alcohol. I am not sure if it is
worth getting or not.
What I need to know; let me know what weekend would work best, or if Sunday
or Saturday would be good, etc. I still have to check my schedule as well.
This is going to be very informal; just let me know if you want to come so I
know someone is showing up. Bring food and car, friends, family, etc. I
don't think that the park has to be notified about a meeting, but I can
check. Brad and Dave; RX7's and WRX's are welcome. Bring your minivan if
you want; its all good. (lets not have everyone show up in vans though)
BTW..I noticed that there is a meet on Oct 27. I might go to that actually. I don't want to interfere with that meet, so any other weekend but the 27th.
