You need to find out if CT and NJ have what's called RECIPROCITY with each other. That means does each state report speeders to the other for the state's DMV records. I live in MA, and I know we don't have reciprocity with NY, but I'm not so sure about CT. Also, make sure the officer filled out the ticket completely AND accurately!! Many officers have lost their citations becuase they've done stupid things, like filling out the wrong color of the car, misspelling someone's name, and, my favorite, filling out the section where it asks if the officer got a radar(or LIDAR here in MA)reading or if they estimated the speed. Sometimes, they fill in both bubbles, which automatically renders the ticket moot, because you CAN'T estimate a radar reading
