BustedVT,

I don't want to ruin your hopes, but I want to prepare you for the worst.

Since your Extended Warranty isn't a FORD Warranty,
I wouldn't keep my hopes up on a FULL REPAIR for FREE.
Expect to pay at least half or more for the repair.
If you pay less, be thankful.

I worked for a Buick Dealer, and Aftermarket Warranties very rarely,
cover the same amount of parts, and claims, that the Manufacturer's Extended Warranties do.
I had a customer with a 1989 Buick Regal that broke the Turn Signal switch.
If she had the GM EXT Warranty, it would have been covered in full,
and all she would have paid was the $50 deductible.
Her Warranty company told us that since the part that broke was inside the steering column,
and was not directly controlled by the driver,
meaning that her FINGER rested in the Turn Signal Lever,
not the switch, the repair was NOT covered.
If the T/S Switch was like a Headlight switch, and her finger actually TURNED
the switch, the repair would have been covered in full.

SOME RACKET !!
