I got in on the $2002 GM rebate deal from February, and I found a dealer over the Internet who discounted it on top of the rebate, plus I had GM card earnings. All in, the Z06 ended up costing me $7k less than the M3 would have, plus I got the car right away instead of waiting several more months. And believe it or not, the insurance is actually slightly cheaper with the Z06 (less expensive to repair I guess). So that's the story with the M3 and how I ended up with a Z06. Got my deposit back from BMW - no problem. No regrets so far...
