Ok well here is what I ended up doing.
I went out and bought a new HU it?s a SONY CDX-M770 (100% identical in style to the CDX-M730 only the 730 plays cd-rw). [$412 tax included CND funds from a local shop. If you want info let me know.]
I ran it into the factory amp and I am SO PLEASED with the sound results that I have decided to KEEP the ?premium? factory speakers and amp for the time being! I did however add my two 10?JL Audio subs.
This deck has made all the difference, and the reason is that it has independent high pass filters for the front and rear speakers, and a low pass filter for the sub built in to the deck. Also the Dynamic Soundstage Organizer really does eliminate the need for high mounted components.
Now I?m sure I will be flamed for this post but honest to god you need to hear it to believe it.
