I have one set of gaskets # F5RZ-9439-B so all you need is another set and that would make 2... the rest I don't remember what they are called frown Ghosst where are you???? we need your infinate wisdom!! :p not to mention tourque specs and order of unscrewing the UIM.. the 22nd .. hmm I 'll double check but I'm pretty sure we can have it at my house.. I got 2 garages and tons of tools.. though if you bring your own with bendable/adjustable ends and stuff the more the merrier..

EGR gasket should be changed. The part number escapes me at the moment, but the IAC valve gasket is rarely changed. As per Martin's experience, the manifold needs to be scrubbed with a Dremel on the gasket mating surfaces to ensure a proper fit.

As for the torquing; move from the centre outwards, diagonally opposite for the corners. I don't have the picture on-line (already checked) but it's fairly easy. Start with left of centre, then right of centre, then top left, bottom right, top right, bottom left, etc. It's easy to do. Just remember, the toruqe spec is 10Nm or 7 lbs-ft.

I wouldn't mind helping out. I am thinking of doing this myself as well, so any experience that I can gain is appreciated. I don't mean to question you Ghosst but my repair manual showes the following bolt sequence for removal:

2 6 4

1 5 3

Installation is opposite. Torque to 72 - 108 in-lbs (6-9 ft-lbs).

Chris, did you swap them your self or did you do it with your brother. I was thinking about removing the LIM as well to do a better job and prevent bits of carbon from falling in, but I'm not sure it that is too involved and what kind of special tools I would need to disconnect the fuel rail.[/b]
Did it all by myself. When I swapped to the 00 manifolds, it took me a total of just under 2 hours to complete the swap. Figure the rest of the time, I indicated, would be to clean the manifolds.

BTW when we are this deep into the intake system is it easy to get at the fuel injectors to clean them?

If the lower is coming out, then the injectors come with it too. The job will go a lot easier removing the lower if you get those clamps to release the fuel injector rails from the supply and return fuel lines.

The torque specs are right, 7lb-ft. As for the removal and installation order, I'm not entirely sure (without the picture) but I beleive it's more like...

6_____1_____3

4_____2_____5
(for tightening)

1_____6_____4

3_____5_____2
(for loosening)

Generally, the idea is to seat the manifold, then tighten it down again without putting too much pressure on the edges to avoid marring the surface. I may be home for a day or two next week, if I am, I'll upload the pics then.
