I used to have one of those big two handed random orbitals but found to be useless for cleaning the car. It actually made more of a mess than anything else. I eventually
gave it away to a friend with an LT1 Camaro.
The new Simoniz (?) handheld looks like a good little toy, with the ability to do a better job than the older versions.
I think Ryan or Chris would be able to answer this better, but I think the results will vary depending on the shade of your paint more than anything else. A silver or white car will always mask flaws better than a dark blue, T-red or black car.
Of course, nothing will ever beat a shiny black beauty.
